On Monday, October 13 in New York City, Fangoria and the Two Boots Pioneer Theater hosted a screening of one of the best unseen horror movies in recent memory. Excited fans piled in—some only able to stand in the back—to view the anthology Trick ’R Treat, escaping its sad confinement in the Warner Bros. vault.
Writer/director Michael Dougherty and actor Dylan (Fido) Baker were both on hand to celebrate this East Coast premiere, and could only be proud of their accomplishment, as there didn’t seem to be one disappointed fan in the house.Trick ‘R Treat presents four interlocking scary stories that take place on one sinister Halloween night in a quite odd small town. Beyond Baker, it also stars Brian (Manhunter) Cox as a Halloween-hating hermit cooped up in his house, Anna (True Blood) Paquin as a Red Riding Hood-costumed young lady looking for a date
