On Sunday, movie score maestro Ennio Morricone—possibly the only composer alive that can conduct a movie soundtrack that would literally jump out of your speakers and kick your bony ass while playing notes that would make Stalin weep—reportedly told Italy Global Nation that he has agreed to score Quentin Tarantino's war epic Inglourious Basterds (God, I hate having to purposely misspell those words). Tarantino is a big fan of Morricone (for good reasons) and had snatched his old scores for Kill Bill and Death Proof, but an original Morricone in a Qt film? It's a magnificent pairing, no doubt. Now we have second confirmation (http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117995914.html?categoryid=1019 cs=1 nid=2562) from Variety, but apparently it's still up in the air whether or not he would be able to do it. The problem? Timing timing timing.
