Does anyone out there remember the ABC TV movie Fatal Contact: Bird Flu in America? It came out about two years ago when Avian Bird Flu hysteria was at its peak. I only bring it up because that was the last Pa film I can remember that used the bird flu as a concept. H5N1, a new Italian short written and directed by 27 year old R. De Feo, takes the scenario one step further adding a government conspiracy and cover-up into the mix.

In the short-movie "H5N1" the influenza has become a pandemic outbreak, and governments of all the World hide the truth about the illness...

H5N1 has been winning tons of awards at festivals lately and after you watch the trailer you'll see why. It starts off small but as the haunting music swells to crescendo so too do the visuals exapand to reveal some truly chilling apocalyptic imagery.
