Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this new feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes .

Sex & Nudity

A couple of scenes of sexual intercourse. In one scene, a major character is seen having sex with a prostitute while seated in a chair and she is straddling him. In another scene the protagonist is having sex with his girlfriend. In both of these scenes the actual nudity is kept to a minimum.

There are two scenes with a major female character taking a shower, and she is shown mostly from the rear.

There is a scene where the female lead is being forced to have intercourse with a powerful official of the state in the back seat of his limousine. The official is seen opening her blouse and grabbing her breast while forcing a kiss upon her, and then pulling down his pants. His bare buttocks are shown briefly and then the scene cuts away.

Violence & Gore

There is a scene where someone runs into the street and is hit broadside by a fast-moving truck. Later there is a closeup and she has several visible injuries and is bleeding profusely with a big pool of blood on the street.

Profanity

The movie dialog is in German with subtitles. There is one scene where an angry character is seen exclaming "S***!" and the word is printed as a subtitle.

Quite a few of the adult characters smoke during the movie. The major female character is seen taking some sort of drug in a pill form, but it is not clear what the drug is or whether it is really illegal or not - the context is that the state would prohibit her from taking this particular drug but not necessarily because it is immoral.

There are several scenes where characters drink cocktails. In one scene two of the major characters are in a quiet bar, and the male drinks two shots of vodka while the female drinks a shot of cognac. There is no scene in the movie where anyone is shown to be intoxicated.

One intense scene is very early in the movie when a prisoner is being interrogated and is seen breaking down when threatened with the arrest of his wife and the institutionalization of his children.

Another intense scene is where the female lead is hit and killed by a large truck. Her lover picks her up for a final goodbye and is sobbing as he holds her lifeless body.
