This film is about three chimps selected for a space mission to explore alien lifeforms in the distant realm of the universe.
"Space Chimps" does not work at all. The leading chimp, Ham III, is terribly annoying. His irresponsible demeanour is supposed to be funny, but it is not. It sends out a negative message to kids that they can behave like that. The supposed jokes in the film are irritating instead of funny. It won't appeal to adults as it is too annoying and silly. It won't appeal to kids either, as some monsters can be scary to young children. So "Space Chimps" ends up not appealing to anyone.
When the only redeeming feature of a film is the short length, you can tell the film is bad.
